Cumbernauld Airport enjoyed the use of an NDB/DME non-precision instrument approach procedure to runway 25 until a storm destroyed the equipment. This proposal intends to reintroduce instrument approaches utilising RNAV-based instrument approach procedures. There is no change to classification of the airspace surrounding Cumbernauld Airport.
