Flight Training Europe Jerez (FTEJerez) has joined GATCO as a corporate member after its application was unanimously accepted during the recent EB meeting. FTEJerez is a dedicated aviation training academy in the south of Spain, with more than 25 years of experience. FTEJerez is the direct descendant of British Aerospace Flight Training, which started in 1998 in Prestwick, Scotland.

FTEJerez has partnerships with a wide range of airlines including Aer Lingus, British Airways, Emirates, Flybe, Qatar Airways and Vueling. In addition to training over 2,000 pilots, who are now flying for more than 50 different airlines, FTEJerez has been an ATC training provider since 2011, with FerroNATS being its main partner.

FTEJerez’s facilities include ATC and pilot training classrooms and simulators, aircraft fleet and hangars, sports facilities and fully-serviced accommodation. Its campus is adjacent to Jerez International Airport. The campus provides a training environment that allows a close interaction between ATC and pilot training students, in an aviation-focused atmosphere.

GATCO is very pleased to have FTEJerez as one of its corporate members and is looking forward to working together with them. This new addition continues to strengthen the links GATCO has with ATC training institutions at a time when the shortage of controllers in Europe and beyond is setting new challenges for them.
