The City of Derry Airport are looking to change the way in which aircraft arrive at the airport, by introducing Performance-Based Navigation arrivals, missed approach, and airborne holding procedures. An airspace change is required to enable the removal of conventional ground based navigation aids. Furthermore, EU regulation 2018/1048 mandates that the City of Derry airport must have satellite based approaches by January 2024.
